RPB maintains an active practice and a high volume of retail, consumer, commercial, construction industry and landlord/tenant collections in its practice in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. The collection practice focuses primarily on recovery of sub-prime automobile financing, recreational vehicle and boat financing, banking industry debt including credit card, consumer loan, home equity installment loans, promissory notes, security deeds, guarantees, fraud and replevin. In addition, RPB handles the collection of accounts receivables for hospitals, physicians, dentists, architects, engineers, surveyors, equipment leasing companies and construction companies. We attempt to collect the debts owed to our clients without the need for court action; however, we are well prepared to proceed, as needed, with a lawsuit. Depending on the size of the outstanding account receivable, RPB can proceed in the General District Courts in Virginia or the District Courts in Maryland. These courts are relatively prompt in scheduling a court hearing to get the debtor before a judge. Claims in excess of $25,000.00 in Virginia, $25,000.00 in Maryland and $5,000.00 in the District of Columbia, require more time before the case will be scheduled for a hearing before a judge. On a regular basis, we are in the courts of the 8 counties in Northern Virginia, the D.C. courts, and various Maryland jurisdictions. No matter what the size of the claim, except for small claims cases, RPB is ready, willing and able to work with and for you to recover the amount that is owed to you. Mr. Maloof is our representative to the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA). He also relies upon the CollectMax collection management software platform developed by JS Technologies, Inc. and the Hubbard Systems Partner-to-Partner electronic account transfer software. RPB welcomes referrals from law firms and agencies which have a client that needs counsel in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. for collection matters.
