Mr. Reed was raised in Alexandria, Virginia and earned his undergraduate degree from Boston College in Psychology. Mr. Reed attended Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia. In his third year he was Senior Articles Editor for The Law Journal of Energy, Climate & Environment and served as a Burks Scholar. As a Burks Scholar he was responsible for teaching legal research and writing to the first year law class. In recognition of his achievement in law school he was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honors Society. Mr. Reed developed his trial advocacy skills by interning with the Public Defender’s Office for Arlington County and the City of Falls Church. In his third year of law school he served as a prosecutor for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia where he tried more than twenty-five cases before Federal Magistrates Court. Mr. Reed has also interned with the Department of Justice in the Natural Resources Section of the Environment and Natural Resources Division. Mr. Reed participates in the Alexandria community as a member of the Alexandria Bar Association, the Alexandria Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the Alexandria Young Democrats. He is also a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. |
