Mr. Braswell has practiced in the fields of real estate law, commercial law and taxation for over nineteen years. He was admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1980, and the Bar of the District of Columbia in 1983.

Mr. Braswell has authored several articles in the field of taxation and has lectured extensively in the field of taxation in continuing legal education courses. He is a past president of the Alexandria Bar Association.

His fields of emphasis are real estate law, taxation, mergers & acquisitions, commercial transactions and commercial litigation.

Mr. Braswell received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University in 1977, his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1980, and his Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1983.
