Mr. Braswell has been in practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia for over twenty-eight years. The last fifteen years he has concentrated his practice in the fields of taxation and mergers and acquisitions, and commercial controversy work, with a particular emphasis on complex commercial disputes, in state and federal courts, and in arbitration.
Mr. Braswell has authored several articles in the field of taxation and has lectured extensively in the field of taxation in continuing legal education courses. He is a past president of the Alexandria Bar Association.
His fields of emphasis are real estate law, taxation, mergers & acquisitions, commercial transactions and commercial litigation.
Mr. Braswell received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University in 1977, his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1980, and his Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1983.
